The Systems Diagnostic / The handoff

Recognition is useful. Give it a boundary.

BBB examines where digital delivery breaks. SCFC traces the system underneath the visible problem and defines what to repair before more production is bought.

You have recognised the pattern. The next step is a bounded investigation of the responsibility, records, dependencies and decisions involved.

Bring one specimen. A reopened ticket, a retainer request, an approved component that will not survive production, a recurring support incident or a brief whose dependencies do not reconcile.

SCFC establishes whether the problem sits in implementation, an unresolved operating decision or a boundary the project never priced.

One product. One purchase path.

The canonical Systems Diagnostic is at SCFC. It is paid, fixed-scope and agreed after a short fit conversation. You receive a system and handoff map, evidence-backed findings, priorities and an intervention scope.

Keep the diagnosis and use your own team, or agree design, build, repair or ongoing operation with SCFC.

Primary engagement // fixed scope

The website is approved, but launch keeps slipping. Or the same fixes keep landing in the retainer. We trace what is holding up the work and give you a prioritised repair plan.

This is for digital agencies and teams carrying expensive complexity: the replatform that keeps breaking, the handoff that keeps losing information, or the retainer that quietly turns senior people into unpaid infrastructure.

Establish the fit before the fee.

The brief may show where delivery has become difficult without establishing its cause, so the first conversation is about the decision you need to make, the people involved and whether my experience fits the responsibility.

You need that judgment before committing.

Send the project context or reply to the email that brought you here. We agree the scope, fee and access before any paid investigation starts. The investigation begins once that agreement is in place.

If a diagnostic fits, it gives the unresolved work an agreed boundary before implementation is priced.

What you receive

System map

People, information, tools, dependencies and handoffs that actually move the work.

Failure analysis

The structural, editorial, technical and commercial points where signal is being lost.

Priority order

What to repair first, what can wait, and what should not be built at all.

Decision brief

A clear intervention map for build, repair, governance or a deliberate walk-away.

The shape

01 / Briefing. Thirty minutes to establish the failure.
02 / Evidence review. We inspect the relevant estate, workflow, content, data or delivery record.
03 / Readout. You receive the map and decide whether to proceed.

Fixed scope. Fixed fee. Operator-led. The diagnosis is yours whether or not you hire us for the intervention.

Scope, timing and fee

We agree one workflow or recurring problem to investigate. The fixed fee, required records or access, and delivery dates are confirmed after the briefing, before paid work begins. Allow generally five working days once the agreed access and records are available. Any implementation is scoped separately.

Good fit / bad fit

Good fit: complex websites, catalogues, publishing estates, migrations, acquisition pipelines and agency delivery systems.

Not a fit: cosmetic redesigns, generic SEO retainers, brochure sites or low-cost production work.
